Yeast propagation

This page contains a calculation tool that help to figure out what propagated yeast volume is required to pitch a certain volume of wort of a specific concentration.

A rule of thumb to calculate how much propagated yeast volume is required at pitching:

1 million cells/ml per degree plato of wort: The wort OG is 12 Plato => 12 m cells/ml are required after pitching.
